Beng Rahadian was born in Cirebon, West Java, 1975. Graduated from Indonesian Arts Institute in Yogyakarta, Indonesia on 2001. As a comic artist based in Jakarta, he has been making Lotif comic strip every Sunday for Koran Tempo newspaper since 2005. He is also working as a Comic Editor in Cendana Art Media that specializes in publishing Indonesian comics. In 2005, he co-founded Akademi Samali, a comic workshop community. He already published comic books including “Good Morning Urbaz!” (Terrant, 2002), “Lotif” (Cendana Art Media, 2009), and “Lotif 2”(Cendana Art Media, 2014), beside several comic anthology books. Right now, he is in the middle of making his latest comic about Indonesian Coffee, which part of it has been published as comic strips every Sunday in Seputar Indonesia newspaper.
